He has already impacted so many people with just being near them, the second they see him, they are filled with joy. this kid is truly unique and he's glad to be like that.

Grant Austin Thompson was born on October 22, 1997 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at ONE AND A HALF POUNDS. He lived in the hospital for the first TWO AND A HALF YEARS of his life. despite being born so small, his family still let him do things like going to the zoo and so on.

As a young kid, he took acting classes and performed in multiple children's plays. he was always creating shows and loved going to major shows like Disney On Ice and so on. in 2023, Lil GAT was shocked to see himself holding a guitar at such a young age. The only instrument he ever took lessons on was the drums.

Pre-Career
2001-2011: Childhood Creativity And Talent Discovery
as a kid, he really loved using his toys to design stages and he was always coming up with ways to design new things. he was really good at putting things together. when it comes to being a performer, he always pretended like he was an artist and always dancing and singing rather he was on stage at church in an empty sanctuary or just dancing around the house. he also took acting classes and performed in multiple children's plays. in 2004, Grant went to Disneyland Resort in California. He doesn't remember his own reaction, but his mom said he was, "thrilled and excited to be there". What he does know is that this was not the only part of what made him want to be creative. In 2011 or so, he was shopping with his mom in Sam's Club and spotted a set of videos, which were multiple documentaries about how the Walt Disney Parks came to be. he was fascinated and couldn't stop watching. after watching that, he decided that was what he wanted to do.

Career
2011-2018: Story Writing And First Cartoon Character
in 2011, he got his first device, an iPad. he began writing stories soon after and it kept going and it even keeps going today. some notable stories he's written is, "The Land Of Undiscovered", among others. basically he just kept writing. fast forward to probably 2016, 2017 or 2018, Grant came up with an idea of a bird character named, "Mr. Blooby". Grant asked his sister's friend to draw him that cartoon character. however, Thompson shelved the character for several years. but before the character was named, "mr. Blooby", he had different name, "Bucky Bird", but his family didn't like the name and it was changed. but throughout this time, Thompson kept writing stories and with this new character, even after, he created more characters and wrote more stories with those characters.

2018-Present: Biographies
In 2018, when Lil GAT was just then-Grant Thompson, he began writing biographies about his life. The first one is about how he overcame being born A POUND AND A HALF. The second one is about his sexual addictions. He hopes to release them soon.
November 2023-Present: Official Website
In early November 2023, Lil GAT began working on his official website. on December 2, 2023, as part of a major announcement for 2024 & 2025, The rising star announced the project stating that the site was, "in development". on February 25, 2024, GAT debuted his website to the world. on the same night, the rising YouTube Star posted these two statements about it on all his social media platforms:

2022-Present: Children's Book
In January 2022, after having put the character on the shelve for 3 years, he was encouraged by his family to do something with the book and character he had created. so he finished working on the book as of January 30, 2024 and now is waiting to hire an illustrator for his book. he hopes to release his book sometime in 2024.
Sometime during the week of February 29, 2024, production started on his debuting children's book, "Mr. Blooby's New Blue Car".

February 2022-March 2023/September 2024-Present: Podcast
in February 2022, Grant asked the Lord God what he wanted Grant to do. so one night, he had a dream about preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to some people on a train. he had an idea of doing a podcast, but wasn't sure if he should actually do it. after praying, he decided to do it. in June 2022, his best friend and himself were hanging out one night and coming up with names for it. Grant came up with a name called, "God's Glasses." his best friend said, "Seeing Life Through The Eyes Of God." and it was a hit. in September 2022, they did a photoshoot for the cover art which is a picture of Thompson looking out toward the mountains. there is a pair of glasses on top of the Bible laying on the ground. on February 3rd, 2022, the podcast debuted and as of October 2023, there are 3 episodes and he's had 200 listeners on his show. after March 2023, the show went on an unexpected hiatus, but the Podcast is hopefully expected to return in September 2024.

in mid summer 2023, Grant was working on another project when he started telling his family that he wanted to be called, "Lil GAT". he came up with the name, "GAT", because his full name is, "Grant Austin Thompson." he thought that, "Lil", would be cool with, "GAT", because he is short and his full name is, "Grant Austin Thompson", so he decided this would be his professional name. in August 2023, GAT created his Official Youtube Channel, "Lil GAT Official." it officially debuted with a comedy video entitled, "When Lil GAT Is Late." As of October 31st, 2023, the video has 52 views on YouTube Shorts. he also debuted a series entitled, "When Lil GAT Dances: The Series". the series debuted with a video of GAT dancing to Justin Bieber's 2012 song, "Boyfriend". As of October 31st, 2023, the video has 44 views on YouTube. dance videos are posted weekly and comedy videos are posted monthly. starting on January 1st, 2024, GAT will debut a second series entitled, "When Lil GAT Sings/Plays: The Series".

July 2023-Present: Music Career Beginnings And Overcomer
The story of how Lil GAT became a Christian Artist is amazing. before becoming a Christian Artist, he had wanted to become a secular Artist. GAT had taken drum lessons, but not singing lessons. the only, "dance lessons", he took was when he was doing children's theater as a kid, but never really took intense dance lessons. in fact, other than children's theater, he actually taught himself how to sing and dance to different artists. he was pictured in 2001, holding a gutair, but he never actually played it at the time. as of 2023, he is playing more and more. the interesting thing is that he loved music, he loved to sing, dance and perform. he knew the Lord God had given him that talent and ability to love music, but he wondered why. then he realized, "maybe, God wants me to be a Christian Artist and write songs for him and impact people by telling people the story God wrote for him through music." He was amazed when he realized this, the Lord God wants Lil GAT to do things for him that GAT, "Never expected." On July 11th, 2023, Lil GAT began writing Christian songs. the first single that GAT wrote and completed on the same day was, "Overcomer", which tells of how he, "Overcame by the Blood Of The Lamb And The Word Of Their Testimony", (Revelation 12:11a). However, the song that is currently being recored that has also been completed since August 31, 2023 is, "Trauma", which reveals the honest reality of what his past did to him. so far, GAT has completed, including, "Overcomer", and, "Trauma", about 7 songs. 6 of these songs will be recored and put on GAT's debuting Studio Album, "Overcomer", which he hopes to release sometime in 2024 or 2025.
On Friday February 9, 2024, The Singer-Songwriter debuted the acoustic version of his single, “Overcomer”, live at Night To Shine 2024. Not only did the self taught dancer perform the single, on the same night, he also talked about both the single and announced and talked about his debuting studio album, “Overcomer”, read what the Singer-Songwriter said below:
“It doesn’t matter what kind of so called condition you have, there’s a name who died on a cross for you and a name who was raised to life, all for what you’ve been through and done. His name is Jesus, he had a plan for my life and he’s got a plan for your life too. I wrote this song back in July 2023 and it’s about overcoming. I was born premature at a pound and a half and was in the hospital for the first 2 1/2 years of my life and then I had to work through a ton of stuff in my life, I still am to this day. Throughout the entire studio album I’m working on, it’s all about what I’ve been through, what I’ve done and telling about how I’m trying to win against this world. When I originally wanted to be an artist, I wanted to be like the world, like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and so on. But before I started writing this song, I was singing one night and I wondered if maybe God called me to be a Christian artist and called me to be a witness for him and make an impact for him through music. On Monday February 12, 2024, The Singer-Songwriter posted both the official announcement of his single and album from that night, which is above, and also this message below about his single and upcoming album, which he wrote the next day following his single’s debut performance, on all his social media platforms:
“Main Album has an unofficial release date as I have just finished writing the album, I hope to be able to get the melodies to all the songs recorded soon, obviously there will be tweaks to all the songs and lyrics. but as for the tracking list of the Album, that is mostly completed as of February 6th, 2024, but do be aware that some songs are still being added or removed, so I will definitely keep you updated on that. I can't wait for you all to hear this album, I put a lot of work into this project. hopefully by the end of this year or sometime next year, i'll be able to release it, but really, I’m not sure when I’ll release it. And also, I’m working on the Official Cover Art for the main album, not sure when I’ll be able to reveal it though. In the meantime, please enjoy the acoustic version of the song, “Overcomer”. 2025-Present: Foundation And Debuting World Tour
On July 22, 2023, Lil GAT was in church and he heard a sermon about contributing, meaning, helping others. during that sermon, he decided that he was going to start a foundation titled, "The Overcomer's Foundation", based on his debuting Studio Album, "Overcomer". The foundation is about and, "dedicated to helping people overcome obstacles in their lives so that they may live the lives that the Lord God has intended them to live." The foundation will launch sometime in 2025. either on March 1, 2025 or 2026, Lil GAT will launch his debuting concert tour, "The Overcomer World Tour", in Miami, Florida at FTX Arena and is expected to run for 2 years and go through all 6 continents of the world. It will start in the United States and go up through Canada. then it is expected to go over to Iceland and then Europe, several Asia markets, Africa, then expected to go through Australia, New Zealand and then head over to South America and finally, the tour will end in Mexico at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico.

Lil GAT's voice varies from song to song and artist to artist. but the interesting thing is that GAT can adjust his voice accordingly. it's hard to explain his voice because it's, "unique", in his words. An example of Lil GAT adjusting his voice, let's take two artists. Jonas Brothers and Ross Lynch. Two very different artists. For the Jonas Brothers, each brother has a different toned or pitched voice. For example, Nick Jonas a higher voice, while Joe Jonas, has a deeper voice. In the Disney Channel Series, "Austin & Alley", he has a voice like Joe, maybe a bit higher than Joe. it's hard to explain. but in 2023, GAT noticed that Lynch has a much deeper voice as of October 2023. But Lil GAT can adjust which is pretty cool.

From sickness to medical scares, he's been through it all and the legacy he wants to continue to leave is a legacy that honors God and impacts people for him. Even if it means that the world will hate him for it, let it be. it says, "Action Speaks Louder Than Words." sure, he's struggled in the past, but he's becoming a new creation in Jesus Christ, (2 Corinthians 5:17). why ? Because just like Jesus Christ died and rose again for him, he also died and rose again for every person who is reading this.

Personal Life
Medical History
Lil GAT has an insane medical history. On top of being born A POUND AND A HALF, he went through a ton of procedures to keep him alive. he has coded so many times in his life. he has oxygen at times and has a feeding tube to get water and so on. but he does drink his food. he has to have liquid food and he can't eat solid food because of a choking hazard. when he was born, it was unexpected and in an emergency, they poked a hole in his mouth and it caused his voice to be off, however, he still sings really good. there have been so many times the coding was so bad that he almost died. But the Lord God had saved him every time. also when he was born, he was fed lying down and food got into his lungs and it caused honeycomb scarred lungs. in 2016, he was septic with e-coli. he had a 107 temp, he had blood shot eyes, unbearable kidney back pain, unusually cold in a burning hot house, (he and his lungs love heat. he has trouble if it's ever cold), and uncontrollable shaking. He went to the doctor to get a medication called, "back drum", but it was resistant to his sickness and later that night, he was going to the restroom and almost fell down the stairs because of how sick he was. but his mom's hand pushed his head away from the stairs, literally, an Angel of God came and kept him from falling, a miracle from God. but because of how sick he was, he experienced an extremely severe and traumatic uncontrollable shaking event. it was madness, his dad was screaming because he said GAT was fine and GAT wasn't and his sister was crying because of the whole thing. his mom was freaking out because of the way he was and it was just horrible for all of them. because of how sick GAT was, his mom had to call 911. so an ambulance came and got him and he was getting worse in the ambulance. but they got him there and worked on him. eventually, they came and said he had e-coli and stayed in the hospital for 4 days, (Sunday-Wednesday). it was one of the worst events of his life. one time when he was a toddler, he was coding and the nurses were terrified and mom was panicking, but his sister at 11 years old, calmly changed his neck thing, (he used to have one, but doesn't have one anymore). there was a time when he was coding and his mom was praying, they took the connectors off and he got better instantly. there's so many stories he could share, but these are just a few.
Christian Faith
GAT is a Christian, he said in a 2013 interview with a news channel in Colorado. when he was then-Thompson, he said, "I could not have done any of this if it wasn't for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." he can't remember when he was baptized. But because of all the medical things he went through, his mom says, "it's like you've seen the presence of Jesus." GAT knows the Word of God and reads it often and whenever someone has a hard time, he knows the verses to say to help the person and when his family and friends hear this, they're, "amazed", every time. he doesn't take credit for it, but gives, "All Glory And Praise To The Lord God All-Powerful." his mom says, "it's like the encouragement, sometimes, correction, is coming from him, but really it's the Holy Spirit that's in him that's doing this. it's incredible." his mom says to him, "you are such a light to everyone. everyone who meets you is instantly impacted by your presence, light and heart you have. you truly impact people for God."
Lil GAT Is A Christian And Knows the Bible Really Wells And Reads It A Lot.
Relationships
when it comes to relationships, he has struggled in his relationship with his dad as his dad didn't know how to love and was verbally abusive to him for years. relationships with his other family members was tough as well as he had anger toward them for different reasons.
his relationship with God is up and down. because of his addictions, it had suffered and now he is working to have a much better and stronger relationship with God.
when it comes to romantic relationships, GAT has struggled mightily with it. he has tried to find girls who will love him, but many attempts have failed. even if he, "had a relationship", that would fail as well. Hopefully, by the Grace of God, he will one day find someone who will love him despite everything that he's been through and done.
he began dating a girl in early 2023, but it lasted only 3 months. he got back together with his girlfriend on November 27, 2023 and they are still dating as of March 5, 2024.
Lil GAT Has Had A Hard Time In His Relationships With His Family. His Relationship With God Has Suffered Because Of his Addictions And He has Struggled Mightily In His Romantic Relationships.
Addictions/Spiritual Encounters
Since March 2018, he has worked to become more and more honest and vulnerable with his struggles with sexual addiction. particularly, pornography and so on. the addictions got so bad that it has almost cost him his life multiple times. despite these addictions, he's been impacted by God multiple times. he's had a dream about the Holy Spirit, the end times, Hell, he saw Angels going to and from Heaven and Earth, he's heard the audible voice of God speaking to him in his heart, times when experienced demonic attacks from the devil and God caused that darkness to flee, literally felt the PHYSICAL HAND OF GOD reach down and touch him, among others things. But now he is currently in recovery for his struggles and he is ready to share his story through music.

Other Struggles
on stop of the verbal abuse he went through from his dad and the trauma from that and all the sexual sins he's committed, (there's a lot), he also struggles with trauma from physical, (kicking and throwing things. he was even threatened by his dad when he tried to stand up for his family), and sexual abuse. he also was bullied as a kid in his old church for being small, scared and weak. Even though he was the center of attention as a baby and stuff, it feels like he's been shut out and no cares to hear or see him as he would like. he may even have trauma from being born so small and being in the hospital for so long and everyone messing with him for as long as they did. because of all this, he sometimes has suicidal thoughts and his mind can easily go dark without warning. he's had such dark times, but he could be just what God needed to change someone's life.
His Views On Sex And Love
he is huge on saving sex for marriage. However, because of his addictions, it corrupted his views of sex for years, "I ended up in a place where I believed that, ‘porn was what love was’. But I was so deceived and couldn't see the truth that, 'God is love' and REAL LOVE was and is also supposed to be between one man and one woman in the covenant of committed marriage. it wasn't until 2020, when I was exposed to the REAL TRUTH. God Is Love and in him, we have real love. This porn garbage is NOT love whatsoever at all.”

for a couple years, he played little league baseball with the YMCA Of The Rockies in Monument, Colorado, a town near the house he was actually raised in. he got a few awards from that.
